Why is it that people want to be innovative with mascara?  I have recently tried one brand with a silly ball on the end of the wand that makes my lashes totally clump, and then another kind where you have to put a white base coat on followed by the black.  a) I thought the point was not to have clumpy lashes  b) I’m a mom. I’m lucky that I even try to apply mascara – please don’t make it take double the time.  Enough ranting.  Try Geisha Ink Mascara.  It’s water and smudge-proof, has a fluffy, straight, normal wand, and the stuff washes off with just water.

Backyard Popsicle Soccer Party

Needing birthday party inspiration?  Summer is the perfect time to come up with unique party ideas, and this one is a keeper.  The Backyard Popsicle Soccer PartyPopsicle sent us a rockin’ duffle bag filled with pylons, soccer ball, gloves for the keeper (goalie) and water bottles.  Oh… and gift certificates for popsicles.  And it gave us an excellent reason to make the husband cut the grass.  Devious. We invited kids with their parents and a couple of cute British soccer coaches doing Challenger Sports Camps in our area.  (Just for the story – really). Voila… we had a party.

Reduce the risk of SIDS

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) also known as Crib Death, refers to the sudden and unexpected death of an apparently healthy infant under one year of age.Each week, 3 babies die of SIDS in Canada.  Such deaths usually occur while the child is sleeping and remain unexplained even after a full investigation. Nobody knows how to prevent SIDS, but the latest research shows that there are things you can do to make your baby safer and reduce the risk of SIDS.
